The Willow Store is all about reusable products. In 2005, Catherine Bolden created Willow Pads to meet the needs of women who wanted a natural option for feminine care. The Willow Store grew from there and expanded to include pillows, blankets, reusable wipes, "unpaper towels", natural laundry care and cloth diapers.

(From top left: ComfySlumber Organic Pillow, New to Cloth Kit, Hand Dyed Organic Cotton Super Wipes, Cuddletime Organic Knot Doll).
After trying many cloth diapers and finding that they were all good at something, Catherine created Sprout Change. The Sprout Change diaper is unique in that it is reversible and it is a completely adjustable one size diaper. The legs and back have elastic that is adjustable by a button hole that is accessible through the front of the diaper.

The Review

I had the opportunity to review the Sprout Change V2. The Sprout Change markets itself as a truly one size diaper. The only snaps on the diaper are at the hip; two on each side. The size adjustments are made via a hole in the front of the diaper that is about 1 1/2" wide, just enough to stick two fingers through. There are button holes on the elastic to adjust it. The back elastic is accessible through the side tabs at the hip. The inserts are made to just lay in the shell an put on baby for a fast diaper change.
Ease of Use: I got lucky and tried the cover on my son without changing the size settings and it fit him perfectly. I did mess with the sizing system just to see how it works and to try it on baby girl. I didn't find it that difficult to use, just time consuming. I can definitely see how one might find it hard to adjust. On the plus side, once you find the perfect fit, you won't have to mess with the adjustments again for awhile.
Fit: The fit is great! This is also THE TRIMMEST cloth diaper I have ever seen or used! Yet it is incredibly absorbent. It's perfect under jeans.
Materials: The shell is made of PUL. There are two options for inserts. The one I reviewed came with a Organic Cotton fleece/ Organic Hemp blend. There is also a Stay dry option that is made of Microfleece/microfiber combo.
Cost: The Shell itself cost $16.95. Starter Ktis start at $30.75- $33.75 (either Stay Dry or Organic). The kits includes one shell and three inserts. The price is pretty steep compared to other brands. However, if you compare Sprout Change to something like the Softbums system, which has a similar one size adjustment with toggles and elastic, it is less expensive (the Softbums system will cost you $39.95). Keep in mind that you also get three diaper changes out of the price so it is like paying about $10 per diaper change.
Care: The shell washes up really nicely as does the insert. The Organic insert occasionally took longer to dry than my other diapers.
Overall Opinion: The Sprout Change diaper has a learning curve but is well worth it. This is a must have diaper if you are looking for trimness and superior absorbency.
